Emergency Assistance
Rockwall County Helping Hands is a comprehensive emergency assistance program providing aid to county residents who:

  Are victims of house fires
Need help with a utility bill or rent payment
Need to see a doctor or fill a prescription
Are stranded in Rockwall and need aid to get home.

The assistance office, which is staffed by volunteers, is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To receive financial assistance individuals must be residents of Rockwall County.

Transient Assistance is available for those persons stranded in Rockwall who need assistance in returning to their home.

No appointment is necessary but, there is an application process and the following identification is required to begin the interview process:

  Driver’s license
Social security cards for household members
Proof of residency
Proof of income
